How Jen describes the painting: “This is an acrylic painting of Mother Teresa of Kolkata, canonized on Sept 4, 2016. In her garments are the illustrations of the corporal works of Mercy… the works of service given by her order of women in the Missionaries of Charity to the ‘poorest of the poor’. Surrounding her are the patterns and colors of India, with her words, ‘Works of Love are Works of Peace’ designed in a decorative pattern.”
